The Theatre Arts & Film Department at Sac City College Fall 2018 Classes!
We are excited to offer a wide variety of class this fall in theatre and film.
There are two new classes we’d like you to know about.
Arts Management (TA440)
Have you wanted to start your own arts organization but don’t know where to begin? Want to know the the difference between a nonprofit and for-profit arts company? Arts Management TA 440 is a survey course on the many areas involved in arts management for the 21st century including organization, marketing, development, and financial management. Leading the class will be Peter Mohrmann, founding managing director/artistic associate and board member of Sacramento’s Capital Stage. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-3:20 pm.
Film Production Workshop (TAFILM332)
This course will give an overview of the creative, technical, and management skills necessary to design and produce a film production on location. Students will gain hands-on experience in production techniques using film production equipment. Students participate in and take responsibility for various aspects of the finished product, such as pre-production planning, scripting, equipment operations, lighting, audio, and post-production. Our dynamic professor Rob Young will be leading the course on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-6:05 pm.
