ACX/Audible is the first step.

The American Voice Over© Competition* has an exciting NEW CONTEST FORMAT & a new Early Bird Q&A session!
AMVO is pleased to announce we will now have a half hour Q&A prior to the contest! Come early with your questions about recording, submitting demos, self-coaching or anything contest related during this time and we’ll do our best to answer them! The contest will begin with the traditional vocal warm-ups and relaxation techniques.
Then the NEW format starts! Instead of gathering in one big group, contestants will be divided into smaller groups to work with one the AMVO coaches. Every person will get the chance to read through their script and get direct feedback so they can be their best at the mic. Best of all, this smaller group rehearsing will mean less time waiting for your turn to impress the judges! For the competition, each contestant will have one take to perform a 30-second script. The winners will be selected based on interpretation, technical skills and emotional connection. All contestants will receive an MP3 recording of their performance and have the chance to talk with the judges after the contest.
As always, we have GREAT PRIZES for the top three voice actors!
FIRST PLACE: KILLER NARRATION DEMO ($500 Value)
SECOND PLACE: TWO ADMISSIONS TO PRO AUDITION ($80 Value)
THIRD PLACE: HOW TO AUDITION OR AUDACITY LESSON ($75 Value)
May 4th, 10:00 a.m. (9:30 if you want to attend the Q&A)
Howe Community Center 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento (across from Home Depot on Cottage Way)
