Tony [ROLE FILLED]: (65-80) Restaurant owner and patriarch. Looking to replace his recently deceased wife. Old world soul trying to cope in a high-tech world. (strong Italian accent)
Carlo: (35-50) Spirited good looking waiter at the restaurant. Quickly creates personal relationships with customers … sometimes too personal. Tony’s son. (Italian accent)
Julia: (35-60): Restaurant bartender and resident “psychologist”. Recent divorcee who’s experienced with loser husbands. (Tony’s niece)
Ann [ROLE FILLED]: (45-55) Iowan visiting NYC for the first time. Intelligent but not worldly. Kind but tough. Just won $1.4 million lottery.
Steve: (30-50) Handicapped Iraq war vet just married to Mary. Agonizing over an important secret he has yet to reveal to his new wife.
Mary: (25-40) Just married to Steve. Happily in love until her world is turned upside down by her new husband.
Grant: (38-50) Gay African American moving to NYC hoping it will provide a more accepting environment than his home state of Alabama. Recently retired from the Army.
Earl: (55-75) Recovering bigot from Alabama. Visiting NYC to find his liberal granddaughter and convince her to return home with him. (strong Southern accent)
