All roles are available and all are welcome!
Georg Nowack- (Baritone) Age 25-30. An established employee of Maraczek’s Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Soft-spoken, personable, shy, capable, and intelligent.
Steven Kodaly- (Tenor) Age 25-30. A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Though he is considered handsome, dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer.
Mr. Maraczek- (Baritone) Age 55-65. Owner of Maraczek’s Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife. Genial-looking, but very capable of being difficult when the occasion arises.
Ladislav Sipos- (Baritone) Age 45-55. Not the brightest employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.
Arpad Laszlo- (Baritone) Age 14 to 17. Delivery boy at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. His exuberance is infectious and commitment to his job remarkable. He is ambitious and adorable.
Headwaiter- (Tenor) Prim and proper, his life is about providing his guests a “romantic atmosphere,” a challenge amidst many disruptions; strong comedic timing needed.
Male Ensemble- Includes the parts of the Busboy and Mr. Keller.
Amalia Balash- (Soprano) Age 20-25. The eager new employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. A clever, eager, and skilled saleswoman. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature.
Ilona Ritter- (Mezzo-Soprano) Age 25-40. Employed at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love.
Female Ensemble- Customers (includes solo singing parts), Carolers, and café patrons.
